Welcome to POLAR POLAR is an online licencing system for researchers, Northwest Territories' communities and Government managers to apply, comment and issue the NWT Scientific Research Licence. Please register and log in to have access to these services. The NWT Scientific Research Licence is issued for all research in the Northwest Territories, with the exception of archeology or wildlife work. Community consultation is a central part of the issuing process and is facilitated through the Aurora Research Institute.
